Georgia’s Gulf Tourism Grows as GCC Visitors Rise 3.4%

Georgia welcomed 145,513 visitors from GCC countries in 2025, a 3.4% increase, according to the Georgian National Tourism Administration (GNTA). The growth reflects the country’s push to strengthen ties with the Gulf market through better connectivity, visa-free access for GCC nationals, and partnerships with regional travel trade.

Overall, Georgia received 7.8 million international visitors in 2025. The tourism authority is working with GCC-based travel agencies to develop holiday packages combining luxury, culture and nature-based experiences. Hospitality infrastructure is also expanding, with more than 300 new hotels expected to open by 2028 across destinations including Tbilisi, Batumi and Sighnaghi.
