The report found that many Saudi residents are delaying travel bookings to secure better prices, greater itinerary flexibility, and improved travel experiences. Rather than locking in plans months in advance, a growing number of travelers are making decisions closer to their departure dates.
The trend reflects broader changes in global travel behavior following the pandemic. International aviation and tourism data show that travelers increasingly prioritize convenience, control, and personalized experiences over traditional early bookings.
The shift is particularly evident during the peak summer season, when demand for destinations across Europe, Asia, and GCC countries rises significantly. According to Skyscanner, flexible planning is becoming the preferred approach for many Saudi travelers as they adapt to changing travel costs and evolving holiday preferences.
